South End Shade Garden

In collaboration with Butz & Klug architects, Offshoots created a basement-level sunken garden space for this South End urban home.  In this deep-shade garden, foliage shape and color is the focus of the plantings. Vertical granite, wood and galvanized steel stairs provide a seamless transition from the contemporary private home to the adjacent semi-private interior-block open space.
