Beacon Hill Courtyard

Designed as an extension of the family room, this contemporary Beacon Hill courtyard offers a comfortable setting for entertaining and everyday lounging. Jet Mist granite paving with subtle marbling gives the space a clean, sleek foundation. Custom metal planters form a lush edge of birches and woodland perennials, creating a fresh contrast with the surrounding brick walls.

An integrated thermally modified wood bench provides generous seating, with the same material carried through to the horizontal slatted wall at the rear of the courtyard. Concealed lighting beneath the bench and behind the slats casts a warm glow across the space, creating horizontal bands of light that give the courtyard a strong visual presence from each of the home’s multiple levels overlooking the garden.
