This November, Offshoots founder Kate Kennen will speak at the University of Pennsylvania’s Stuart Weitzman School of Design as part of the fall lecture series, The Expanded Field.
Kate’s talk, “Scaling Up: Landscapes of Productive Planting Exploration,” will focus on the practical application of phytoremediation and its potential across different scales, from smaller projects to expansive landscapes. Drawing from her professional work in landscape architecture and her research into sustainable planting systems, Kate will explore how these approaches can work across a range of landscape contexts.
The event takes place Thursday, November 12, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at the Kleinman Energy Forum in Fisher Fine Arts Library in Philadelphia. The lecture is free and open to the public.
