GalleryAligned with the 2022 Master Plan, the redesign of the Stone Health Center at Wellesley College integrates green infrastructure with enhanced accessibility, a new entry plaza, and serene a garden patio. The landscape strategy employs materials that align with Wellesley College’s campus standards and utilizes native perennials and understory plantings that complement the existing upland Oak-Hickory woodland. Furthermore, Offshoots and Nitsch implemented a specialized rain garden designed to capture and treat stormwater runoff from adjacent buildings, ensuring ecological stormwater management. Offshoots team of horticulturalists installed the sustainable landscape and are performing the 1-year maintenance period to ensure the ecological plantings properly establish to contribute to the unique planting aesthetic of the campus.
