Charles River Shoreline Vegetation Management Plan

Gallery

Offshoots worked in conjunction with Weston & Sampson and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation to craft a vegetation management strategy for environmental enhancement of the Charles River basin. This plan includes 16.5 shoreline miles of the Charles River, a critical cultural and ecological resource for the city of Boston. This vegetation management plan creates a climate resilient strategy for the region using the watershed’s open space corridor. This master plan enhances the ecology of the Charles River Basin by increasing wildlife habitat and native plant communities, while maximizing the pollutant removal abilities of the vegetation along the shore.
