Fireflies have arrived! In collaboration with Mystic River Watershed and DCR, Offshoots Inc. has just completed a new Art Installation at the Blessing of the Bay Meadow. Designed and built by local artist @carolynlcreative, the installation consists of 32 fireflies built out of recycled material, and colorfully painted by local students at Arthur D. Healey School. Fireflies are crucial ecological components of New England’s meadows, forests, and wetlands – the firefly sculptures represent our team’s commitment to a vibrant, healthy, and resilient Mystic River, and celebrate our mission to restore natural habitats throughout the Mystic River Watershed.

Come visit and check out the new fireflies! Fastened with solar-powered lights, the sculptures will twinkle in the night – so be sure not to miss the show!
