Bookkeeper & Office Administrator
Offshoots, Inc. is seeking a part-time bookkeeper and office administrator. Expected hours are 20-30 hours a week with flexible working hours. Position will involve a combination of in-office work with the potential for some remote work. The candidate will assist in managing business operations and day-to-day activities of the firm – from bookkeeping to marketing and office upkeep. This is a great position for a working parent or someone who desires a flexible schedule with previous business administrative and bookkeeping experience.
Job responsibilities include: QuickBooks data entry, processing accounts payable and receivable, processing timesheets and payroll, responding to new client inquiries, answering phones, supply ordering, scanning, filing, and upkeeping office space, requesting permits, staff travel arrangements, printing, plant ordering, completing marketing proposals, computer & software setup, hiring postings, updating website with text and photography.
Successful candidates must be able to manage multiple assignments with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and be a team player, able to operate while proactively reaching out within the firm to find solutions, anticipate needs of principal, and have excellent attention to detail; maintain a level of confidentiality and professional manner; support office of 10-12 staff by assisting with various tasks.
Position requires knowledge/experience with QuickBooks, Outlook and Microsoft Office. Experience with Dropbox and WordPress are highly desirable. Some interest or experience in gardening or landscape design experience preferred.
