Landscape Architecture Summer Intern

Offshoots, Inc. seeks a landscape architecture intern to join our Boston office team for the Summer of 2021.

We are looking for assistance illustrating design projects and diagramming landscape strategies. Candidates must have excellent graphic design skills, including the ability to create photorealistic perspectives, 3D visualizations, and rendered plans.  Familiarity with Adobe Suite, AutoCAD and Rhino and the ability to work between multiple is essential. Experience with Grasshopper, Vectorworks, Lumion and Revit is preferred. Ideal candidates will be self-starters with a strong design sensibility and creative energy and will be pursuing their second degree in landscape architecture (or an allied design field) and have at least 2 years prior work experience in a professional landscape architecture office.  Interest in phytoremediation, planting design and productive ecological landscape systems is essential.

Landscape Architectural Designer, 3-7 years experience

Offshoots, Inc. seeks a landscape designer/architect, with three to seven years of previous experience, to join our Boston office team. We are looking for a self-starting and flexible individual to help grow our office.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Project management and design lead for residential design projects
  • Construction detailing and AutoCAD drafting of projects ranging from residences to multifamily housing, public parks and streetscapes
  • Graphic layout of reports, proposals and image books in Adobe InDesign
  • Opportunities for design collaboration and research in planting design
  • Illustrating productive landscape systems, including diagraming ecological planting strategies, 2D and 3D landscape renderings

Ideal candidates will be self- starters, with creative design sensibility, and strong interest in residential gardens and planting design.  Prior professional work experience is required including experience with construction document preparation in AutoCAD.  Strong plant knowledge is preferred but not required.

Landscape Laborer – 2021 Summer Intern

May START DATE – end of summer

We are seeking a summer landscape laborer intern to work on residential and commercial landscape and garden installations with our horticulture team. We focus on creating sustainable, ecologically sound landscapes and are looking for hard working individuals to join our team in Boston. Qualified interns MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WORKING ON A LANDSCAPE, FARMING or GARDENING CREW and the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions outside from 6am – 3pm Monday to Friday.
