New article in the Journal of Hazardous Materials found on ScienceDirect. With the growing attention of functional green walls for their air cleaning abilities, this study concerns the possibility of increasing their remediation abilities by adjusting the substrate. These tests focused on adjusting the size of the substrate and adjusting amounts of activated carbon in the substrate. Turns out the size is not quite as important as the amount of activated carbon, although once that activated carbon concentration gets to roughly 50%, it’s reached its zenith in terms of air cleaning abilities.
