We are excited to share the news and welcome the newest addition to our team, Shelby Chapman-Hale, as a Landscape Architectural Designer here at Offshoots.

Shelby received a Bachelor of Environmental Science with a concentration in Ecological Design from the University of Vermont and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon. Her graduate thesis, which investigated the impacts of conventional parking lot design on urban sustainability (economic, ecological and social implications) and explored site scale solutions to reduce potential disturbance in new parking lot design, was presented at CELA in 2014. Prior to joining the team at Offshoots Shelby worked as a landscape architectural designer at Morgan Wheelock, taught planting design at the University of Oregon, taught plant identification at the University of Vermont, and worked in the nursery at Gardener’s Supply Company.

We are excited to work with such an enthusiastic and talented designer.  We look forward to working with Shelby this season and years to come!
